Work Update

Hi all,
Just thought I'd write a quick update on the status of our house. The wife & I went past there today to see whats going on. They have plastics sheets all over the windows & doors and are in the process of painting our house. They have also done all the water proofing in the bathrooms & toilet & laundary. I couldn't see inside much so im not to sure how many rooms have been done. We have a site meeting on monday so it will be good to see how it looks and voice our concerns with that and other things. unfortunately I dont have any new photo's so hopefully i can get some at our site meeting.

Update

Hello All,
Just a quick update, they have finished off the front fascade except the top section on the roof and still need to install the stack stone around the front window. They have completed the front porch deck and have commenced on the alfresco decking. They plastered the wall which the fire place is to be installed and they have put the correct pantry and master bedroom doors on. I have organized a site meet with our new SS for next monday to go through a couple of issuse we have and see if we can get an indication on hand over. Other than that there hasnt been a great deal of movement, I hope that they continue on the internal things that need to be done to get us in there sooner rather than later. Maybe the painter might be there this week.

Cabinet Installation

Hi all, went past the house yesterday to find that they have installed all of our cabinets. They have also done the brick wash and delivered our decking for the porch and alfresco.  We think the cabinets have come up great.

Floor Plan & More Progress

Hi all once again, I have placed a copy of our floor plan so you guys know how we have layed out our house. The wife & I went past today and they have hung all internal doors, the cornices, skirtings & architraves are up and they have delivered some of our cabinetry. They have also finished the bricks above the alfresco door how ever there is a gap, as well as a gap on the external garage door I dont know how they'll fix them or what they do to them. They have also installed the down pipes and the gas point is in for the metre. The front Fascade is also starting to come along nicely. So as usual enjoy the photo's

We Got Plastered

Hi all & welcome to yet another installment of our building blog. Since the last blog we have had the bricks completed to about 98% done, we are awaiting on them to finish the section above the alfresco door. All electrical, plumbing and framing has been complete and the plaster has been put on. I finally got onto our SS and he indicated the plaster was being delivered on friday just gone which is was and they would commmence on saturday. The wife and I went past yesterday to see the progress only to find the plasterers were there plastering (on a sunday???) We are very pleased with the workmanship of it. We have also had all our eave linings completed and the front fascade is slowly taking shape. the brickworks seems very good as well. We had a preplaster inspection last thursday and there were 11 items picked up. One of which was from our frame inspection which is the slab issue we have in the garage. The others brought up seem like easy fixes again. I hope to see if I can organize a site meeting with the SS and go through things with him. Our SS also informed us that he is leaving Simonds on the 21st March, so we will get what will be our 3rd SS. We were also informed by our SS that the cabinetry should commence this week and painting commence possibly next week. We are getting very excited now. Its becoming a real reality now and we cant wait.
