We Got Plastered

Hi all & welcome to yet another installment of our building blog. Since the last blog we have had the bricks completed to about 98% done, we are awaiting on them to finish the section above the alfresco door. All electrical, plumbing and framing has been complete and the plaster has been put on. I finally got onto our SS and he indicated the plaster was being delivered on friday just gone which is was and they would commmence on saturday. The wife and I went past yesterday to see the progress only to find the plasterers were there plastering (on a sunday???) We are very pleased with the workmanship of it. We have also had all our eave linings completed and the front fascade is slowly taking shape. the brickworks seems very good as well. We had a preplaster inspection last thursday and there were 11 items picked up. One of which was from our frame inspection which is the slab issue we have in the garage. The others brought up seem like easy fixes again. I hope to see if I can organize a site meeting with the SS and go through things with him. Our SS also informed us that he is leaving Simonds on the 21st March, so we will get what will be our 3rd SS. We were also informed by our SS that the cabinetry should commence this week and painting commence possibly next week. We are getting very excited now. Its becoming a real reality now and we cant wait.
So as usual please enjoy the (30) photo's.

Bricking Still In Progress

Hello all,
Just a quick update. The brickes are probly 80% done. They have done 95% of one wall and have gone up half way on most of the other walls. They may have some delay on the front of the garage as this needs to be repaired and rectified. The timber studs hang well over and the lip for the garage panel lift door needs to be redone. Other than that its looking very good. So as usual till the next installment enjoy the photo's.

This would be the look of the standard Kyoto Fascade, but the bricking around the window will be stack stone

Busy Busy Busy (Roof, Bricks & Electrical)

Hello once again.
Well it hasnt even been a week and the house is progressing very quick. I am gobsmacked at how well they are going, since the last post they have installed the colorbond roof complete with whirly bird and hot water solar panel. The bricking has commenced and is probly a quarter complete and they have installed the evaprative cooling unit & ducts along with the heater unit & ducts as well as all the electrical cabling. The final 2 windows in the family room have finally been installed as well, however one is broken and will need to be replaced. They seem to be completing things everyday.
It looks like all the issues found in our inspection are getting rectified. I will again get in contact with the SS and see whats going on.

Til the next installment enjoy the photo's.
